Pinto beans have pink skin and are similar in shape to Kidney beans. They have a slightly creamy taste and are particularly suitable as an addition to Indian rice or minced meat dishes. They should be soaked for about 30 minutes before cooking. Beans are a staple food in India and Pakistan and therefore play an important role in local cuisine.
